Murder-Suicide at a Montana Casino Leaves Three Dead
A murder-suicide took place at the Stateline Casino in Bainville, Montana on Saturday. Two people were killed and one person shot himself. The three people killed knew each other. There were no injuries to bystanders. Statelin casino and Colby Casino closed temporarily. The sheriff's office reassured local residents that there was no ongoing danger to them.
This is the latest casino-related shooting in recent months. In October, a visitor at the Parx Casino in New Jersey was followed home and shot dead after winning $10,000. Police in Wisconsin fatally shot a gunman who had killed two people at a casino in May. An employee at Wynn Las Vegas shot and killed a security officer in March. Stephen Paddock opened fire on the Harvest Music Festival in Las Las in October 2017, killing 60 people and wounding 411.
