Sports bettors in Pennsylvania wagered more than ever before in October. Online casino operators earned more revenue than in any prior month. Commercial gaming generated $450.2 million in the state in Oct. $183.7 million of that amount was diverted to state and local governments in taxes.
FanDuel is back to clear lead over rival DraftKings in Pennsylvania. October is one of the peak months for betting activity due to heavy football action. FanDue reported online betting handle of $289.6 million, a market share of 39.5%, gross revenue of $32.4 million and adjusted, taxable revenue $21.8 million. Draft Kings had gross revenues of only $10.3 million but had a 31% share. BetMGM was third in handle at $55. 3 million with gross/taxable revenue and gross wagers of 5.1 million/1.2 million; Barstool Sportsbook was fourth with $46.9 million in wager and revenue.
