Pennsylvania State Police casino reports
State police gave the following accounts of incidents at casinos in the area:
Oct. 27
Trespass: At 4:15 p.m. a 71-year-old Collingdale woman entered Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino in Chester and actively played at a slot machine for three hours. She had been prohibited from entering any casinos in Pennsylvania for life since April 2014.
Oct. 24
Criminal mischief: At 10:11 p.m., troopers responded to Harrah’s for a reported criminal mischief incident involving a 51-year-old Woolwich, New Jersey, man. An investigation is ongoing. Further details were not available.
Oct. 26
Scam: A New York couple has been charged with swindling as much as $103,000 from Philly Live! Casino. Anna Huang, 69, and Binwen Yang, 35, Flushing, New York, were observed at 7:45 p.m. on casino surveillance using multiple different patrons’ players cards at the Interblock Baccarat station. Both the accused used the player cards to retrieve free slot play, which were then used on video poker. Both the accused were observed on multiple occasions participating in this scam throughout the month of October. These actions defrauded the casino out of approximately $103,000. Court records indicate they were released on their own recognizance pending a Nov. 15 preliminary hearing. Further details were not available.
