Official details of Chicago casino proposals released by officials.

City Hall in Chicago has released details regarding the five proposals for a casino property in the downtown area. A timetable has been established for the casino to be constructed so the city can begin to take advantage of the hundreds of millions in expected annual revenue.

Rivers Chicago McCormick plan would create a venue within the Lakeside Center and be operational in 12 months. The second proposal is known as Rivers 78 and it would be located at the South Loop site which is 62 acres in size. It would cost $1.6 billion and offer a 450,000 square foot casino with 3,300 gaming positions.

Bally's submitted two proposals for Chicago casinos. The first one is called Bally’s at the Chicago Tribune”s Freedom Center. It will offer 2,700 slot machines and 95 table games. A second one called "Baly's McCormick Place" is proposed for 31 Street and DuSable Lake Shore Drive. This plan will be scrutinized by neighbors as it is located near a residential and medical research complex development pushed by Sophia King.

Hard Rock International has just one proposal for a casino and entertainment development in Chicago. The company plans to spend $1.7 billion on the project. It is in the One Central project near Soldier Field. If the plan gets support, it would create a $70 million in gaming revenue for Chicago and $81 million for the state of Illinois.
