(PRESS RELEASE) -- An expanded pre-launch facility with an additional 500 gaming machines – including electronic table games offering blackjack, roulette, craps and baccarat – opened last week at the Catawba Two Kings Casino in Kings Mountain, N.C. Delaware North is a consultant to the Catawba Nation, which owns the gaming property.With the completed expansion, the temporary casino now features 1,000 gaming machines. They include 954 traditional slot machines and 46 positions at four automated electronic table game pods in a “stadium” setup. The expanded gaming facility was shown off to local media during a preview event earlier in the week.“Our patrons will soon be able to play their favorite table games such as blackjack, roulette, craps, and baccarat right here at Catawba Two Kings Casino – all from the comfort of one seat,” said Mike Ulizio, president of the Catawba Nation Gaming Authority. “The electronic table games are a great addition as we provide more gaming opportunities at a convenient location for people across the Charlotte region.”The electronic table games feature an easy-to-use interface that delivers a classic table games experience that experienced players will love and that lets beginners learn in a nonintimidating environment.With the expansion, the casino also added a dedicated high-limit room offering guests added privacy and personal service. Onsite beer and wine service will also launch shortly after the expansion opens.To celebrate the expansion, Catawba Two Kings Casino is launching a six-week promotion that culminates with a new Ford F-150 SuperCrew truck giveaway on Jan. 24. Beginning Dec. 15, each point earned on a guest’s Lucky North® Club Card will also be an entry into the truck drawing. Each Sunday beginning Dec. 26, two guests will win $500 in Free Play every hour.

The pre-launch facility opened July 1, and work on its expansion began in September. The new gaming building is attached to the original facility and once again was constructed using prefabricated modular structures. The Catawba Nation and its consultants are continuing planning work on the permanent casino resort project, which will be announced at a later date.
