Nevada Casinos, Businesses Begin Anti-online Gaming Campaigns
Nevada has recently started discussing the possibility of allowing online gaming. A conglomerate of businesses in the state is opposed to the idea. The initiative is backed in part by Red Rock Resorts, a casino operator that has shown not to abide by federal and state employment laws.
Nevada is considering introducing online gaming. Businesses are opposed to the idea. The NGCB and the NGA received a letter from 30 small casino owners and businesses. Red Rock Resorts, Frank Fertitta III and Lorenzo FERTitta signed the letter. Meruelo Gaming CEO Alex Meruleo and VP of Government Affairs Andrew Diss also signed it. iGaming industry could be worth $30 billion within the next ten years.
Nevada recorded its lowest gaming revenue in 24 years last year because of the pandemic. The introduction of online gaming is an inevitability. Some casinos are already planning to launch iGaming operations in other states. iGambling is not merely a fleeting idea that will pass. It's an inevitable development.
