Nevada could soon allow remote registration and ID verification for cashless payment accounts in state casinos.

Nevada Gaming Control Board is considering remote registration for cashless casino play. Sightline Payments made the request. In June, Resorts World Las Vegas launched the first casino-wide casheless payment system with Sightlines. The company claims the user experience has been poor since the June rollout. Remote registration of horse and sports wagering accounts will continue to require in-person setup in casinos. The proposal will be presented to the board of three members at a future regular meeting. NGC is the final judge.

Nevada considers remote registration for cashless casino play. The US Department of the Treasury regulates Sightline in 50 states. FinCEN allows remote gaming verification, but Station Casinos' attorney believes regulations still require a government-issued ID for land-based casino transactions. There are 30 jurisdictions that allow remote setup or verification of online gaming. Board members will discuss the matter in a regular board session in the future.
