National Lottery creates its second multi-millionaire within one week
The UK's National Lottery has announced its second new multi-millionaire in a week when one ticket-holder bagged a £5.1 million prize in Wednesday’s draw.
A single player matched all six main numbers to take home the top prize, while two matched five numbers and the bonus number to win £1 million apiece.
In the absence of the winner making an immediate claim, Camelot’s Andy Carter, the senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, urged players to check their tickets.
He said: “What fantastic news for a single ticket holder who has won tonight’s £5.1 million Lotto jackpot, the second jackpot win in a week after a player won £2 million in last Wednesday’s Lotto draw (July 21).”
Some 27 players matched five of six numbers without the bonus ball to each win £1,750.
The winning Lotto numbers were 34, 44, 23, 26, 59 and 36, and the bonus number was 43.
Set of balls six and the Guinevere draw machine were used. Saturday’s jackpot will be an estimated £3.8 million.
