Mystery lottery ticket winner urged to come forward as £11million jackpot sits unclaimed

Brits are being urged to check their Lotto tickets, as the £11m jackpot prize from last Saturday’s draw remains unclaimed.
The hefty prize was from a ticket bought in retail, The National Lottery has said.
The Lotto draw on 30 October saw just one lucky ticket-holder scoop the huge £11,042,269 jackpot prize.
As with all prizes £50,000 and above that are won in retail, approximately two weeks after the draw, if no valid claim has been received, the area in which the ticket was purchased is released.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, urged Lotto players to check their tickets for “the chance to see their wealth ‘skyrocket’”.
“This could be a life-changing win for the lucky ticket-holder and we’re hoping that they will now come forward and claim their amazing prize,” he said.
News of the unclaimed prize comes ahead of another big weekend in the lotto stakes - a £20m Lotto ‘Must Be Won’ jackpot is up for grabs on Saturday night.
In a Lotto ‘Must Be Won’ draw, the jackpot has to be won, either by players matching all six numbers, or if the jackpot isn’t won it will filter down the prize tiers to boost all the other prizes.
In this instance, lots of players could win lots more.
Once a winning ticket-holder has called Camelot and the claim has been validated and paid, they then have the opportunity to decide whether or not to go public and share their news.
No information is provided on whether a National Lottery win is an individual or syndicate win, unless the ticket-holder decides to go public.
