A Miranda woman can’t wait to tell her husband he doesn’t need to work so hard anymore after she won $930,000 in the weekend’s Lotto Strike draw.

The Southern Sydney woman held the only division one winning entry in Lotto Strike draw 5184, drawn Saturday 1 October 2022 and took home a total prize of $937,024.30.

The buoyant woman took a little longer to discover her almost million-dollar windfall after initially declining winning phone calls from lottery officials.

“Oh my god! Oh my god!” she cheered when an official from The Lott eventually confirmed her win.

“Really?! Is this true? I never win anything!

“I’m not feeling too good today, but this makes me feel so much better.

“I’m sorry for declining your calls. I thought maybe it was a scammer trying to contact me – that’s usually how it goes!

“My husband doesn’t have to work so hard anymore! Wow!

“I can’t wait to tell him about the news.

“Thank you so, so much.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her newfound fortune, the regular player shared a few initial plans.

“We’ll definitely pay off our home mortgage and save up for some travel plans!” she said.

“I’d love to celebrate with the family over a nice dinner at a restaurant.

“I can’t believe this!”

Her winning one-game QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers in Lotto Strike draw 5184 on Saturday 1 October 2022 were 40, 25, 32 and 20.

Lotto Strike is an add-on game played with Saturday Lotto and Monday & Wednesday Lotto. Lotto Strike’s division one prize is won by selecting the first four numbers in the exact order they are drawn during the Lotto draw.

If no one picks all four winning numbers in the draw in same order drawn, the Lotto Strike Jackpot prize pool will jackpot for the next draw.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 340 so far this calendar year, including 93 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
