Online casinos and slots will be the focus of the upcoming White Paper, according to Gambling Minister Chris Philp. PhilP also told MPs any potential damage payment to Camelot would affect money for good causes.

Minister Philp addressed online slots, casinos and the National Lottery in the White Paper. He said the risks for developing problem gambling are low. The National lottery generates about £4 billion a year and accounts for a quarter to a third of all gambling in UK.

Camelot is fighting the Gambling Commission for the fourth National Lottery license. The committee chair JulianKnight raised the issue of damage payments if Camelot succeeds. Minister Philp suggested that the money will come from the good causes. Credit cards are allowed to be used to buy National lottery tickets. The public is not prohibited from using credit cards to purchase National Lotto tickets on their own.
