Camelot UK Lotteries has been operating since 1994. UKGC has left it and named Allwyn Entertainment as the new operator of the region's National Lottery.

Allwyn will take over full operations of the National Lottery by February 2024. The Canadian firm will lose one of world's largest lotteries after 28 years of operating the game. Allwyn’s license is the fourth to be awarded over the lottery”s history and will run until 2034.

Allwyn won the lottery. The company's CEO is disappointed. Allwyn's winning pitch focused on increasing participation in draws.

Allwyn was chosen to take over the running of the National Lottery. UKGC CEO Andrew Rhodes is confident in Allwyn's ability to innovate, maximize returns to good causes, meet statutory requirements and safeguard the unique status of The NationalLottery, as he says.
