Michigan Woman Sues BetMGM For $3.2 Million in Online Gambling Winnings
Jacqueline Davis, 36, of Detroit, Michigan, won $3.2 million playing online casino games on BetMGM. She was able to withdraw $100,000 from her account at the end of March, but her remaining $2.18 million was frozen. BetmGM claims a glitch in one of the games she played made her earlier winnings null and void.
Davis deposited $50 on March 18 and she was betting $5,000 per bet within 5 days. She won more than $11 million. MGM Grand paid her $100, but later refused to pay the majority of her winnings. Davis sued BetMGM for $3.2 million in damages.
BetMGM is being sued by Michigan woman for $3.2 million in online gambling winnings. The lawsuit claims BetM GM violated its own user agreement and accuses BetGM of fraud, conversion and breach of contract. Michigan gaming laws allow for transactions that contain malfunctions to be declared null and void. Bet MGM's initial payout of the initial $100,000 occurred at least five days after Davis's wagers were placed.
