Numbers will be drawn Tuesday night for the largest Mega Millions jackpot in a little more than a year.
According to lottery officials, the current jackpot of $440 million is the largest amount in nearly 14 months. The prize is $247.8 million in cash.
If a jackpot-winning ticket is sold, it would be the eleventh largest jackpot in the game’s history, officials add.
As previously reported, the jackpot has been rolling since it was last won in mid-April by a Minnesota couple.
During last week’s drawing, more than 955,000 winning tickets were sold, with those prizes ranging from $1 million to $2 million.
Tuesday’s drawing will be held at 10 p.m. CT.
