Powerball jackpot soars to fourth largest ever at $785 million
The Powerball jackpot continues to rise with an estimated jackpot of $785 million.
According to lottery officials, Monday's estimated jackpot is the game's fourth-largest prize in Powerball history and the game's second-largest jackpot of 2023. If someone matches all six balls in Monday's night's drawing, the winner would take home the $785 million grand prize, which currently has a cash option of $367 million.
Saturday's winning numbers were 1, 12, 20, 33 and 66 and red Powerball 21. The Power Play multiplier was 2X.
While no one won the grand prize on Saturday, three tickets - sold in California, Florida and New York - matched all five white balls to each win a $1 million prize, according to lottery officials. One ticket - sold in Michigan - matched all five white balls and included the multiplier feature, for a $2 million prize.
Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. EST. Drawings can be viewed live at powerball.com/watch-drawing.
The Powerball jackpot was last hit in the July 19, 2023 drawing, when a ticket in California matched all five white balls and the red Powerball to win a grand prize worth $1.08 billion. Since then, there have been 28 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner, according to lottery officials.
