The Mega Millions jackpot is estimated at $1.1 billion for Tuesday night's drawing. It's the second time this year and the fourth time in about four years that the jackpots have surpassed $1000 billion.
Greenwood man, 36, bought a Mega Millions ticket in a spur-of-the-moment purchase. He matched all five numbers and the 3x Megaplier.
Couple from Pennsylvania won $121.6 million in a Powerball jackpot in December 2016. They chose to take the $71.2 million lump sum and the rest over the 20 years annuity. The couple wants to donate to schools or charities in the future.
The winner of the $10.38 million Powerball jackpot in Rehoboth, Delaware, is an anonymous tourist. The jackpots were to be split between two other winners who purchased tickets in Florida and Louisiana.
In October 2012, Cutrona’s Liquors on North Market St. sold a winning Powerball ticket for $33,046,926.64. The winner remained anonymous.
