Massachusetts Casinos Returning to 24/7 Operations This Week
Governor Charlie Baker relaxed some COVID-19 restrictions. The gambling venues in Massachusetts will be open 24/7 starting this week.
The casinos in Massachusetts have been operating under restricted hours due to virus. MGM Springfield will be back in 24/7 operations on Friday, January 29th. Encore Boston Harbor and Plainridge Park will open back fully this Wednesday. The gaming floor will still be restricted to a lower percentage. It is unclear what services will offer and how many employees will come back to each facility.
Massachusetts Casinos are returning to 24/7 operations this week. The three casinos have been operating on a restricted basis since 2020. In November, the casinos earned $45 million in gross gambling revenue, while December was $50 million. It's difficult to see higher numbers due to the virus still being a problem in the state and neighboring states. People are not ready to visit casinos or other establishments like bars and restaurants inside the venues just yet.
