Lottery Lightning Strikes Twice! Redfern Man Blown Away By $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Win
A Redfern man is still in a state of shock after his $100,000 Lucky Lotteries windfall came 20 years after a family member also won big in another lottery game.
The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10608, drawn Friday 8 July 2022.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott, the elated man said the win couldn’t have come at a better time, admitting he already had big plans for his winnings.
“I’m lost for words!” he proclaimed.
“I had to check my ticket five times before I accepted the fact that I’d won $100,000.
“It’s already been spent it in my mind if I’m honest. I’ll be able to complete some renovations that I’ve been saving for which is fantastic.
“Then, my family will be having a holiday in Italy. I can’t wait!
“It’s incredible. Twenty years ago another member of my family won big on the lottery so to have it happen again is mind-blowing.
“I love playing Lucky Lotteries but this time I went away from my usual strategy.
“If I hadn’t done that, who knows, you might be calling someone else with this incredible news.
“Thank you so much! This just goes to show anyone can win.”
The winning entry was purchased at Redfern Newsagency, 130 Redfern Street, Redfern.
The Redfern Newsagency team said they were over the moon to have sold a major prize-winning entry and wished their winner all the best for the future.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $12.05 million for draw 1581, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $17.96 million for draw 10609.
In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
