A merry band of 15 Rockhampton workmates finished their Friday on a high after discovering they scored a $100,000 prize from a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Rockhampton residents held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10659 on Friday 26 August 2022.

“I saw the draw had happened, so I thought I better check our work ticket. There’s 15 of us in our syndicate,” the workplace syndicate leader explained.

“Funnily enough, we always go into draws during the week, but we don’t always get a Lucky Lotteries entry.

“I just bought this as I saw the Jackpot Prize was over $24 million.

“I’m glad I got this ticket. It’s been worthwhile.”

With each syndicate member due to receive a share worth $6,666, the leader of the happy crew said plans were already underway.

“We won’t be able to retire, but we’ll put it to good use,” she laughed.

“One wants to put it into the bank and save for an overseas trip, while others are still thinking about it.

“It’s a nice little Friday boost!

“We said it’s probably just as well we found out on a Friday afternoon because if we’d found out on Monday, they probably wouldn’t get much out of us!”

The group’s winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased at Reid and Rose, 131 East Street, Rockhampton.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $13.73 million for draw 1588, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $24.725 million for draw 10661.

In FY22, 169 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
