Las Vegas celebrates the return of overseas visitors

The first transoceanic flight carrying tourists in nearly 20 months touched down in Las Vegas on Monday, 8 November. The United States reopened its borders to fully-vaccinated international travelers. Las Las resorts up and down the Strip welcomed international visitors with a multilingual marquee message. Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak is thrilled to welcome international tourists.

Domestic and international travelers have a lot to look forward to in Las Vegas in the coming months. The Latin GRAMMY Awards return to the MGM Grand Garden Arena at MGM Hotel & Casino on Nov. 18. There are conventions with international appeal scheduled through the remainder of 2021. CES returns in early 2022. Las Vegas will welcome The Mint 400 (Nov. 30-Dec. 5), Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (Dec 2-11), Pac-12 Football Championship Game ( Dec 3), and the Las LasVegans Bowl (dec 30).

Virgin Atlantic Airways nonstop from London Heathrow began Nov. 8. British Airways will start nonstops from Heathrows beginning Nov 15. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines non stops from Amsterdam beginning Dec. 7. Copa Airlines will non stop from Panama City beginning December 7th.

Regular nonstop service from Mexico will resume in July 2020. Current routes include: AeroMexico from Mexican capital, Cancún, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico City, Air Canada from Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Edmonton, Flair Airlines from Toronto and WestJet from Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

AeroMexico, JetBlue and Viva Aerobus are among the airlines that are flying back from Mexico.

Air Canada, Flair Airlines and WestJet are flying from Canada to Las Vegas.
