The governor has issued a new mandate that masks must be worn in public places, indoors only. The rule applies indoors to all casinos, restaurants and bars in Las Vegas and throughout Nevada.

MGM Resorts has sent an email to its 35,000 employees with a requirement that they upload their proof of a full vaccination against COVID or submit to getting testing every week at a cost of $15 each.

Vickie's Diner, which was known as Tiffany's Cafe, has reopened at the venerable Commercial Center, 3 miles east of the Strip.

Beverly Theater is expected to open in 2022. It will host independent film, live music, arts performances, literary experiences and educational programming.

Main Street Station downtown hasn't reopened yet. Boyd Gaming bosses said they are making plans to possibly reopen it.
