June opening for Jeju Dream Tower casino
Lotte Tour Development Company Limited plans to premiere the gambling element within its new Jeju Dream Tower development from next month. The $1.4 billion property ‘soft launched’ its restaurants, retail shops and five-star Grand Hyatt Jejo hotel last December. It is undergoing final inspections of its gaming equipment and security systems.
Jeju Dream Tower casino will open in June. Lotte.com reports that the company received final authorization from the provincial council for Jeju Province in March to transfer the casino license for its nearby Paradise Casino Jeju Lott venue to the 38-story Jeiju Dream tower.
Jeju Dream Tower Casino is going to open in June. It will be the third largest casino in South Korea. The resort will offer a 1,600-room hotel, 14 restaurants and bars, a retail mall, an outdoor pool deck, spas and a top floor sky-deck lounge.
Park Seong-Ho from Yuanta Securities predicts Dream Tower Casino could make over $180.5 million for the whole of next year if South Korea achieves ‘herd immunity’ to the coronavirus pandemic by the end of 2021 and relaxes “immigration restrictions” with China.
The Jeju Dream Tower's non-gaming attractions were opened in June. The site for the property was purchased by Lotte Tour Development Company Limited forerunner Dongwha Investment and Development Limited in 1984. It was revived 24 years later and officially opened from May 2016.
