Bally's Corporation has bought Jumer's Casino and Hotel in western Illinois for $120 million. The property was previously owned by Delaware North Companies Gaming and Entertainment Incorporated. Bally’s Corporation plans to grow its casino estate to include 16 facilities in 13 American states.

It bought iGaming operator Gamesys Group, daily fantasy sports firm Monkey Knife Fight, online free-play games developer SportCaller and digital technology and services provider BetWorks Corporation recently.

He is looking forward to leveraging his company's expertise to enhance the property's operations. The company will also exploit the opportunities created by last summer's decision to legalize sportsbetting for punters in Illinois.

Jumer's Casino and Hotel opened in December of 2008 at a cost of $151 million. It is one of ten gambling-friendly venues spread across the length and breadth of Illinois. The portfolio is expected to grow following the signing of legislation in June of 2019 that could license up to six new land-based casinos.
