Jackpocket Launches Its First Online Casino In New Jersey

Jackpocket has become the first lottery platform to enter the online casino space, launching its New Jersey iCasino on Wednesday.

Offering hundreds of casino titles, Jackpocket, which bills itself as the “#1 lottery app in the United States,” enters the very competitive and crowded New Jersey online casino market.

“This launch immediately expands Jackpocket’s entertainment offerings in New Jersey and will do the same for fans in other markets in the future,” Jackpocket CEO and founder Peter Sullivan said in a press release, “As the iGaming space continues to grow, we’re excited to provide our engaged lottery user base with an easy and fun way to get involved in games we know they already love.”

New Jersey users can expect both a casino and lottery bonus upon registering and making their first casino deposit.

First lottery app

According to the release, in 2019 Jackpocket became the first registered lottery courier service in the U.S. It launched in New Jersey, the first state to formally authorize lottery courier services.

The proceeds from the New Jersey Lottery’s ticket sales contribute to the state’s pension system for public employees, such as teachers, police officers, and firefighters. Since Jackpocket’s launch in the state, approximately $69 million has been returned to state programs from lottery tickets ordered on the app. Moreover, there have been more than 300,000 winners and over $82 million in winnings on Jackpocket in New Jersey to date. This includes a $9.4 million Pick-6 winner, which is the single largest legal, regulated win ever on a mobile device in the U.S.

Players in New Jersey can download Jackpocket Casino for iOS and Android.
