$9.4 million Pick 6 lottery ticket sold with Jackpocket app
After more than five months without a jackpot-winning ticket being sold, someone who used a lottery app won Thursday night’s Pick 6 drawing.
Thursday’s winning numbers were 4, 28, 31, 37, 41 and 43, the New Jersey Lottery said.
The lucky winner bought the $1 ticket with the Jackpocket app.
Jackpocket is the first regulated courier service in the state under a 2016 law that authorized third-party companies to register to sell lottery tickets online. Jackpocket has been operating in New Jersey since December 2019.
Before Thursday, no one had matched all six numbers since a $9.2 million ticket was purchased for the May 17 drawing at a Piscataway convenience store. Those are the only two Pick 6 jackpots hit in New Jersey this year.
The jackpot for the next twice-weekly drawing on Monday rolls back to $2 million.
The odds of a $1 ticket matching all six numbers are 13,983,816 to 1.
