Indiana Casino Win Down in May But Still Exceeds $200 Million
Indiana casinos had their win totals dip a bit in May, but still managed to exceed $200 million. The total win was $211,895,475. In May the state made $189.85 million from slots and $45.37 million via table games.
Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana in Gary made $36,320,339 in May. Horseshoe Hammond made almost $28.94 million in win for the month. Harrah's Hoosier Park in Anderson made about $21 million. Caesars Southern Indiana made around $20.3 million for May, and total tax paid to the state was $75.68 million, according to American Gaming Association.
Sports betting handle exceeded $300 million in Indiana for the ninth consecutive month. The amount wagered was down 14.3% from April. However, the year-over-year handle was 21.2% higher than May 2021. Most of the money was wageered on mobile devices.

There were two bills that would have legalized online gaming in Indiana, but they died out early this year. The six states with iGaming are New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Michigan, Connecticut and West Virginia. Nevada has also legalized it.
