Huge Las Vegas Strip Project Moves Closer to Reality
Elon Musk is planning to build a 34-mile tunnel network under Las Vegas. It will connect downtown, the airport, Allegiant Stadium and the Las Las Vegas Convention Center. The initial part of the project, a convention-center connector, was built in a year. It reduces a 45-minute cross-campus walk time to approximately 2 minutes.
The Las Vegas Loop project is expected to be completed by 2024. The first Super Bowl is scheduled for February 11, 2024, but only part of the system will be done before that date. Boring Co. expects construction to begin in 2023. The project will include resorts along the Strip, Harry Reid International Airport, Allegiant Stadium and downtown Las Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Loop project is being developed by Elon Musk. It will create a new route between Caesars Entertainment and MGM Resorts International's properties. The loop will also make the Las Las Strip a viable place to stay during major events. It should be transformational for the city and should lead to more cities wanting their own loops.
