An expansion project for Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel in Murphy, North Carolina, worth $275 million commenced on September 29 following the casino's 7th anniversary.
The expansion of Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel is worth $275 million. Whiting-Turner Construction Company has been chosen as the construction company for the project. Convergence Strategy Group was the advisor that helped with analyzing data and making a prognosis for growth and profitability of the newly expanded casino.
The new expansion of the venue will be ready at the beginning of 2024. It will increase the gaming floor by 23,359 square feet and double the number of casino games. The hotel part of it will also be expanded with the addition of a new hotel tower of 296 rooms. A new 12,000-square-foot rooftop restaurant will open. There will additionally be a spa center and salon, a sauna with a steam room, plunge pools and a lounge.
