Resorts World Las Vegas officially opened yesterday. It's the first resort built on the Strip in over a decade. This week, Casino City also had a jackpot win in Lake Tahoe, a new sportsbook coming to Colorado and an expansion at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort.

A loyal Caesars Rewards member won a $317,257.71 Progressive jackpot at Harrah's Lake Tahoe Hotel and Casino on 21 June. The guest plans to purchase a new electric car and put a down payment on a house with the winnings.

The SuperBook at the Lodge Casino in Colorado has opened. It is a traditional sportsbook with 28 televisions and a fully loaded bar. Patrons can place wagers by visiting one of their three betting windows, visiting the kiosks located throughout the casino floor or betting on the app.

Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina is set to complete its four-year expansion project this fall. The $250 million development broke ground in June 2018 and includes a new 725-room hotel tower, 83,000-square-foot convention space, new food and beverage offerings and more.

The Canadian Gaming Association is celebrating the arrival of single-event sports betting across Canada. The Senate passed Bill C-218 without amendment. The CGA has been working to legalize single event sports bets for more than 10 years. It will improve the ability to offer sports betting in Canada and provide an important competitive tool for an industry that has suffered from COVID-19 shutdowns.

Resorts World Las Vegas officially opened its doors last night. It is the first resort built on the Las Las Vites Strip in more than a decade. The resort offers 1,774 full-service guest rooms and suites ranging from 400 to 3,300 square feet. There are over 40 food and beverage options and a 5.5-acre pool complex.
