Grosvenor Casino and Leicester Travelodge, a chain hotel and casino located in Leicester City, England, is up for sale with a £10.2 million ($12.2 million) asking price. Leicester Travelodge boasts 95 rooms across four floors, and underwent a £325,000 ($389,720) refurbishment in 2014 as part of a modernization program.

According to LeicestershireLive, Victor Ktori, head of the Nottingham office at Savills, the real estate company in charge of the sale, said: "The property represents a rare opportunity to acquire a significant piece of city center real estate, immediately adjacent to Highcross Shopping Centre. Initial interest has been strong from a broad range of investors."

Described by Savills as a"unique city-center development opportunity," the venue is located next to the shopping center Highcross, on the A594 Ring Road. Bordered by Vaughan Way, High Street, and Highcross Street, the venue is considered to be in a "prime position for investors."

The venue opened in 2004. The Grosvenor Casino is located across the ground, first and, second floors of the hotel with a machine floor on the ground level with gaming and slot machines; and a gaming floor at the first level together with a number of bars and a 50 cover restaurant area. The second floor includes a staff rest room, kitchen and preparatory areas, training rooms, and the plant room.

As of December 2021, Travelodge was the UK's second-largest budget brand, with more than 592 hotels. Travelodge has a further 17 hotels planned for 2022, including the opening of their 600th hotel.

Grosvenor Casinos Limited was established in 1966 and operates 52 casinos throughout the UK, under the ownership of Rank Group, which also owns Mecca Bingos, the largest bingooperator by venues in the UK, as well as several online gambling brands.
