Grand Korea Leisure on the rise in July
South Korean foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure reported an 8.8% year-on-year and 5.3% month-on-month increase in casino revenue to KRW31.1 billion (US$24.0 million) in July as its recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic continues in earnest.
The July result included a 4.8% rise in table game revenues to KRW27.8 billion (US$21.4 million), while slot machine revenue grew by 10.3% to KRW3.33 billion (US$2.6 million). This was despite a slight 2.4% decline in table drop to KRW246.2 billion (US$190 million).
For January through July combined, GKL’s casino revenues have climbed by 93.9% year-on-year to KRW239.2 billion (US$184 million), with table drop over the same period up 120% to KRW1.84 trillion (US$1.42 billion).
GKL operates three casinos in Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand.
