A MYSTERY Lanarkshire man has scooped a EuroMillions jackpot and is planning on taking his family away on a plush holiday.

The lucky Scot, known only as Mr M, bagged £81,070.50 after matching the five main numbers in the EuroMillions draw on July 23.

And he plans to go on holiday and treat his family with the winnings.

The retired Lanarkshire Local, who played a Lucky Dip via the National Lottery app, has become one of over eight million players that win each week on The National Lottery’s range of games.

Interactive winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous or like this winner, release some details through partial publicity.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Huge congratulations to Mr. M for winning the fantastic prize.

"He can now look forward to a holiday of a lifetime and treating his nearest and dearest with his winnings.

“We’re encouraging everyone to check their tickets online atnational-lottery.co.uk or by downloading the National Lottery app, and to buy or check their tickets in retail in line with government guidance.

"Playing online via the website or app means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize.

"You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.”

By playing any National Lottery game, punters generate an average of £36M each week for National Lottery-funded projects.

This money helps support everything from the local charity making a difference where you live through to helping our nation’s athletes win Olympic and Paralympic gold medals.

The UK's youngest Euromillions winner flew to Turkey to have a bum lift carried out at a private clinic in April.

The 25-year-old told her Instagram followers she had travelled to the Trio Clinic in Istanbul to have liposuction and her bum lift "redone".

It follows a botched op in 2017 which led to the millionaire being rushed to hospital with suspected sepsis.
