Dumfries Woman Wins $128K From Virginia Lottery
DUMFRIES, VA — A woman from Dumfries won $128,085 from the Virginia Lottery in February. Officials said she won the jackpot from the online High Roller game.
The winner, Tynisha Daniel, works in cybersecurity. She said she has no immediate plans for her winnings, though she might opt to pay some bills.
"I was like, ‘Is this real?’” Daniel told Lottery officials as she claimed her oversized check. “I cried tears of joy!”
Daniel won her prize from her favorite game, the High Roller Jackpot. Officials said the High Roller game features a cumulative prize that grows over time. The game can be played online or through the Virginia Lottery app.
The odds of winning any prize through the High Roller Jackpot are about 1 in 4.68.
