Controversial Las Vegas Strip Casino Operator May Make a Big Change
Bally's Corporation Report has made a deal to buy the non-land assets of the Tropicana in order to turn it into a Ballys. The Tropics is currently run by Penn National Gaming, Inc. Report sold the property to Gaming and Leisure Properties, which licensed back the operating rights to the casino to Penn.
Penn owns a number of casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. It also owns Barstool Sports and theScore, a sports media company with its own betting app. Penn may change its name as a result of a new patent application.
Penn changed its name to Barstool Sports and theScore. The company bought the Score in the fourth quarter. It will also own BarStool in a year.
