Connecticut: Foxwoods Casino to open 50,000 square feet of additional gaming space, new restaurant next year
Foxwoods Resort Casino plans to open 50,000 square feet of new gaming space next year. The expansion will also include a celebrity chef-owned restaurant. Construction on the new amenities is scheduled to begin in November. It will cost $85 million. Foxwoods has been presenting new projects since its 30th anniversary. It also plans Sushi by Bou, a sushi restaurant, and Wahlburgers, an indoor water park. Its latest quarterly report indicated it operated about 300,00 square ft of gaming area. There were 3,500 slots and 250 table games.
