The drum holding the draw tickets for the Caledonia Catch the Ace progressive jackpot to raise funds for the Community Support Centre Haldimand-Norfolk is “getting heavier and heavier” each week, said master of ceremonies Sandra Sacchetti at the Sept. 28 instalment.

That meant Cockhill won 20 per cent of the weekly ticket sales, for a total of $5,588, and the guaranteed jackpot climbed to $104,080 — though it’s estimated the jackpot will end up being closer to $113,000 by the time the weekly draw happens on Oct. 5.
