BOS Wants Early End to Sweden's Online Casino Curbs

Per Bylund, Associate Professor at Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business, took to Twitter on September 8 to share news of the Swedish government's pandemic restriction announcement. BOS wants the government to bring forward the November 14 end to temporary online restrictions to September 29.
BOS has long been critical of the Swedish government's temporary restrictions for online casinos. BOS cites research. The International Gaming Research Unit at Nottingham Trent University confirms that between January 2020 and May 2020 the number of Swedish gaming consumers increased but the size of average wagers declined.
BOS wants to end the temporary restrictions on online casinos in Sweden. Minister for Social Affairs Ardalan Shekarabi is the main obstacle to this. BOS CEO Hoffstedt wants the restrictions to be lifted on September 29.
