Bally’s Makes Its $40 Million Chicago Casino Pledge, Mayor Confirms

Bally's has paid $40 million to the city of Chicago. The $1.7 billion Chicago casino is one step closer to being built.
The proposed Bally's casino in Chicago will be located at Tribune Publishing, 700 W. Chicago Ave. It is set to feature 500 hotel rooms, 3 bars, 6 restaurants, an entertainment venue consisting of 3,000 seats, a gaming floor with 173 table games and 3.400 slot machines, and a $75 million infrastructure improvement project. The first $40 million payment from the casino will support the city’s pensions.
Bally's made a $40 million pledge to build a Chicago casino. The temporary casino will be launched in 2023 and the permanent one in late 2025 or early 2026. There will also be 3,000 construction jobs and 3.000 permanent casino jobs. Community opposition to the project has been raised.
