A huge £11.8 million “must be won” jackpot is up for grabs in the National Lottery draw on Saturday.

There were no winners of Wednesday night’s jackpot, meaning the estimated £11.8m rollover will either be scooped by one lucky winner who matches all numbers or it will be shared between runners up.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said “It promises to be an amazing Lotto draw on Saturday with a whopping £11.8m ‘must be won’ jackpot up for grabs.

“In a ‘must be won’ draw, if the jackpot isn’t won, the prize amount is shared out amongst the other prize tiers, meaning lots of players could win lots more.”

However, one player claimed a £1,000,000 prize after matching five of six winning numbers and the bonus number in Wednesday’s draw.

A total of 32 people won prizes of £1,750 by matching five Lotto numbers, while a further 2,392 matched four and claimed £140 and 62,623 matched three to win £30 each.

The winning Lotto numbers were 06, 22, 29, 48, 50, 59 and the bonus number was 03.

Set of balls five and draw machine Guinevere were used.

Two contestants won £13,000 each in the Lotto HotPicks, while just one person won £5,000 on the Thunderball along with thousands more who won smaller prizes.

The winning Thunderball numbers were 11, 16, 21, 23, 27 and the Thunderball number was 14.

Mr Carter added: “National Lottery players make a huge difference to National Lottery Good Causes across the country generating more than £30m every week.

“Thanks to National Lottery players, over £1.2bn has been distributed to date across the UK to help tackle the impact of coronavirus.”
