Youngest EuroMillions winner Jane Park shares how she hated scooping £1million jackpot
The youngest EuroMillions winner thought winning the lottery was going to be incredible but ended up "crying" herself to sleep, she has revealed.
Jane Park scooped the lottery in 2013, and became the youngest winner in the UK taking home £1million.
She spent money on holidays, cars, designer clothes and a splashed out on new three-bedroom home.
But the novelty wore off and Jane, now 26, was left feeling "bored and miserable".
Jane, from Edinburgh, said: "Literally it came to a point where I was like 'I hate this'.
"I remember just thinking 'I'm so young' and 'Why would anyone put someone this young through these emotions'."
She added to told LADbible : "I remember my nana saying 'It's like giving a kid a gun in their hand and not telling them what to do with it'. I understand how easily your life could just spiral out of control. I could feel it happening."
She denied claims she tried to sue Camelot, the UK's National Lottery operator, over the win.
Jane admitted it was to grab attention and questioned why the laws were age 16 to play the lottery and 18 to gamble.
In a video on YouTube, she said: "You could easily become addicted by trying to win the lottery. The age has just recently been changed. I know for a fact my voice had an input on that because I brought it to everyone's attention."
She became a target for online abuse after her record-winning scoop.
She said: "When the story came out that I was going to sue I literally had the worst amount of abuse online.
"People were saying like 'Die', I had acid attack threats, it was literally hectic. People were hating on me and I was just this young girl who just wanted to be heard.
"I remember feeling like my life was s**t. I just felt like this was not what I thought it was going to be like.
"I thought it was going to be amazing, like, I was going to be this big massive celebrity. I was going to constantly be on red carpets and stuff.
"I was literally sitting in a three-bedroom house alone, like crying myself to sleep."
She added: "You have good days and you have bad days. There's times where I feel lonely and I feel bored and I feel s**t.
"But there's other times where I'm flying to Dubai and I'm doing nice things and I'm very grateful for the life that I live."
The EuroMillions winner also spoke about her Brazilian bum lift where she led to a hospital stay and a brush with death.
In the confessional video, she said:: "That went horrifically wrong. I came home from Turkey, I got it done in Turkey, and I was very unwell. I went up to the hospital and they blue-lighted me to another hospital.
"I was hooked up on drips and I ended up having septicaemia. I remember being in there for like a month and when I got to the hospital on the first night, she was like 'If you had have left that 24 hours later it could've been fatal'."
She added: "I remember thinking 'S**t, like, I could've died'."
