Up to $50M capital raise to grow Delta Corp online gaming division. CFO Hardik Dhebar confirms to CNBC TV18 that the company is looking to raise up to the amount of $30-40-50 million to boost the business. Delta made its move into the online skill gaming realm in 2017 with the acquisition of Adda52, which was considered to be the largest online poker destination in the country.
Delta Corp. recently reopened its casino establishments in Goa. The gaming giant is also opening a land-based casino in Nepal. Delta operates three of the six offshore casinos vessels in the state and the Casino Deltin Denzong at the Denzhong Regency Hotel in Gangtok, Sikkim. Its integrated resort in Daman has yet to be awarded a casino license. Goan tourism industry reached around 15,000 visitors per day by the end of 2010s.
Delta Corp is raising up to $50M to grow its online gaming division. The pandemic has shown a shift among consumers towards more digital environments. Goa might push for more online gamers and next-gen revenue streams.
