United Way hopes to hit the jackpot
WHEELING — The United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley will be rolling the dice with an evening of food, games and more to benefit their local member agencies.
Night at the Casino will be held in the showroom of Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack Friday, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and dinner available at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $50 and available for purchase online at unitedwaayuov.org. Admission includes dinner, five no value chips for games, two drink tickets, Mardi Gras themed bags for chips and Mardi Gras beads. Additional chips will be available for purchase at a cost of 10 chips for $5.
Entertainment will be provided by Nick Arno Entertainment along with a photo booth sponsored by MPR Transloading. The event will feature a Mardi Gras theme and there will be prizes for best costume.
The gaming tables will include local guest dealers such as Executive Director of the St. Clairsville Chamber of Commerce Wendy Anderson, Executive Director of the Wetzel-Tyler Chamber of Commerce Sharon Campbell, Executive Director of the Barnesville Area Chamber of Commerce Jill Hissom, Marketing Director for Belmont Savings Bank Alicia Jordan, WTRF-TV anchor Steve Moore, President and Owner of Ruiz Insurance Anthony “Rico” Ruiz, and Sam and Otis from “The Bloomdaddy Experience,” and Realtor at Paull Associates David Robbins.
