Ugly Sweater Bingo jackpot at Green Lake's Town Square estimated to exceed $1,200

Get ready for an elf’n good time at Town Square’s Ugly Sweater Bingo. The bingo game, which is part of Town Square’s day-long Holiday Faire and Hofbräuhaus, is scheduled for Saturday at 492 Hill Street.
Doors and concessions open at 5 p.m., card sales begin at 5:30 p.m. and games start at 6:30 p.m.
The festive event has become Green Lake’s favorite way to kick off the holiday season, with prizes for the ugliest sweater of all, door prizes throughout the night and a 50-50 raffle.
“Ugly sweaters have become synonymous with Christmas,” said Phil Burkart, one of Town Square’s founders and bingo caller. “We want everyone to wear their best ‘worst’ holiday sweater - the uglier the better - for a chance to be crowned the ugliest of all.”
Five ugly sweater winners will receive a six-pack of Knuth Brewing Co. beer, a holiday throw blanket and a $15 Knuth gift certificate.
The night features 13 games, plus speedy bingo and a progressive black out final game with a jackpot of $968 plus half the night’s progressive sales if bingo is called within 51 numbers. The jackpot is estimated to exceed $1,200 - that’s some good holiday cash!
Concessions will be available for purchase in the ballroom’s new Jury Room Bar, including $2 Sheboygan hot dogs, chips, beer and wine. Carry-ins are prohibited. Attendees are highly encouraged to arrive early to find their preferred seats.
Town Square will be filled with cheer throughout the entire day on Saturday, November 27. Pick up gifts for friends and family at the Indoor Fall Market which will be held in Studio A from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Santa’s Nifty Thrifty Christmas Shoppe in the former Moboevo space.
From noon to 3 p.m., bring the kids to participate in holiday crafts, cookie decorating and letters to Santa. Santa will be present for socially-distanced visits with children from 1 to 3 p.m. in Studio A. New this year is the Holiday Hofbräuhaus - a German-style beer hall - from 1 to 5 p.m. in the ballroom.
Proceeds from the bingo games support Town Square, an award-winning community center located in the historic county courthouse buildings in the heart of downtown Green Lake.
