Karnataka Loves Lightning Roulette, Delhi Goes for Slots
Residents of Karnataka love online roulette for real money and especially the electrifying Lightning Roulette by Evolution, while Delhi citizens love their slot games, shifting their preference from one popular title to the next big hit.
The insights are shared by the SevenJackpots online casino comparison platform in their research paper on “Online Casino Trends in Modern India”.
Many Indian States have a Favourite Online Casino Game
The authors of the study observe that the majority of states in India have a favourite online casino game that stands out in player traffic statistics.
They have broken aggregate player and bet count data into geographical regions and months of origin for each individual game title and shared the stats of the top 30 games by player count.
The state of Karnataka is represented 17 times in the chart: 11 times with Lightning Roulette, 2 times with the roulette-type game show Crazy Time, and 4 times with Live Andar Bahar.
All these games are streamed in real time from dedicated casino studios in well regulated locations. The games are hosted by a live dealer or game presenter, and feature live gaming elements such as roulette or money wheels, coins, or cards, as well RNG elements often backed up by AR (augmented reality) technology.
Delhi is represented in 9 instances with a total of five different slot titles, practically the only top rated games that are not played live.
From 9 Blazing Diamonds by SpinPlay, to Queen of Alexandria by Neon Valley Studios, Mega Moolah The Witch’s Moon by Aurum Signature Studios, and Ancient Fortunes: Poseidon Megaways or Immortal Romance Mega Moolah by MicroGaming, the residents of the country’s capital region follow the latest hits in online casino slots.
What Casino Games are Most Favorited in India’s Other States?
Roulette and slot games lead in popularity across the country, attracting 35.8% and 35.7% respectively of the player count among the top 100 most played games, the SevenJackpots data reveals.
“If we extend the analytic scope to the top 100 games by player count, Telangana rates highly in Lightning and Instant Roulette sessions. Maharashtra residents also opt for various roulette versions above all,” the researchers comment on the findings.
Andhra Pradesh presents an interesting case, where a relatively small player count is responsible for massive turnovers.
“In terms of monthly turnover volumes, Andhra Pradesh is more active than any other territory, largely due to roulette sessions. AP occupies 4 of the top 6 spots (in month-by-turnover volumes) and 9 of the top 18,” the authors point out.
“Interestingly enough, player count suggests that these numbers are fueled by a relatively limited number of high rollers, all of whom are roulette players. All high rollers play live studio versions, too,” they conclude.
Slots are the most popular games in Mumbai, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, in addition to New Delhi and the National Capital Region.
Slot games bring the highest number of bets across all regions, the researchers observe. “10 out of the top 10 and 29 out of the strongest 30 monthly performances in a given state see slots top the gameplay bet instances.”
The study is based on analysis of primary data supplied by casino operators, containing aggregate statistics on 1.7 lakh registered real money players within a 14-month period between October 2020 and November 2021.
The research team at SevenJackpots also makes use of publicly available third party industry statistics and Google Trends analytics to compare and confirm their findings.
