The Las Vegas Strip Deals With a Huge Problem
Las Vegas has a perception problem of being safe for tourists. Derek Stevens, Circa owner, believes Las Vegas is very safe. The Las Las Vegas Strip recently had a high-profile "slashing" attack that left two dead and multiple people injured. It followed a June shooting at the Fremont Street Experience that killed one man and injured another.
Stevens believes that Las Vegas is a safe city. He believes it's important for people to feel safe. He thinks that while any city can improve, Las Las has a very strong track record for safety. The volume of people that have come through Vegas has increased the safety concerns.
The Las Vegas Strip is a safe place even at night. There are many people and a strong police presence. However, people should be aware of their surroundings and pay attention to pickpockets. For men, put your wallet in your pants front pocket or in the front of your shirt. For women, wear purses diagonally.
