The Hilton That ‘Helped Create the Las Vegas We Know’ Is Opening Four New Properties There

Hilton is creating quite a splash as it returns the storied Hilton brand to the Las Vegas strip along with three additional properties.

The Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, which is part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, opened earlier this month. Meanwhile, in partnerships with Resorts World Las Vegas, Hilton will open a multi-brand Hilton resort that will include a Hilton hotel, a Conrad hotel, and an LXR hotel.  LXR is the chain’s luxury brand collection.

These properties will open in early July, the company said.

Hilton’s president, Chris Nassetta, who noted that “helped create the Las Vegas we know today,” said that the hotelier is “raising the bar again.”

Groundbreaking for the resort took place in 2015 on the property was the site of the Stardust Resort and Casino until 2007. The Stardust was demolished in 2008 for a project that never took hold.

The complex will feature a 5,000-seat theater suitable for corporate events, 350,000 square feet (32,516 square meters) of meeting and event space, a 220,000-square-foot (20,439-square-meter) pool complex, a spa, a fitness center, and numerous restaurants and cafes.

With an estimated cost of $4.3 million in its entirety, Resorts World is the most costly resort property ever developed in Las Vegas to date.
