Spelpaus, the Swedish national self-exclusion program, now boasts more than 80,000 registered users. SpelPaus is Sweden’s official self exclusion program. It allows high-risk players to get their gambling habits under control and restrain their compulsive spending.
Sweden's self-exclusion program was launched three years ago. Spelpaus has had significant success. In May, the Spelspektionen launched a big update that made Splepauks easier and more intuitive to use.
The Spelinspektionen is working to combat unlicensed gambling sites and protect vulnerable customers in Sweden. Ease Gaming was recently banned from doing business in the country. The regulator tried various methods to reduce gambling harm rates.
