Southwest casino project ‘Durango Station’ moves forward
Spring Valley Town Advisory Board voted in favor of Station Casino's plans for a casino resort. The resort is expected to be built on several acres of land near Durango and the 215. Some residents are in support of the project, while others are against it. The board approved the plans and recommended developers to look at improvements. Debra Korak is worried about traffic near the property's proposed entrances. She thinks the entrances should be adjusted.
The board approved the project for the 'Durango Station' casino. The Culinary Union has members who live in the area and they oppose the plan due to traffic concerns.
Station Casinos is planning to build a new development in Durango. The company is grateful to the Spring Valley Town Advisory Board and its residents for their input on and support of the project.
Clark County commissioners will meet next month to make a final decision.
