11 people were arrested in South Chungcheong Province. They were involved in illegal online gambling operations since 2018. The head of the group is a Thailand national who lives legally in Korea. He managed four different gambling websites. During the four years of operation, they collected about $92.12 million.

The gang was active in attracting foreign customers such as international students and employees enticing them with the promise of huge winnings.
