Scientific Games has acquired Sideplay Entertainment. Side play is a digital content studio that creates immersive and entertaining games. Its most popular games include Mouse Trap, Sherluck Holmes, and Bubble Burst Bingo. Scientific Games hopes to combine the studio’s technology with their own iLottery content to produce new games and expand its share in digital lottery markets. If the deal goes through, Side Play's content will be added to the Scientific Game's portfolio of iLotto games, which includes more than 270 instant win games for lottery operators worldwide.

Scientific Game's also acquired Australian slot company Lightning Box Games. Lightning box works with casino operators across Europe, the US and Canada. Scientific games is pursuing a ‘strategic divestment” of the group‘s lottery and sports betting units.
